President Trump gets an invitation from the Disability Resilience Network - and the DESTINY blog

We have a destiny.

The world is increasingly being ruled by people who believe their destiny is your destiny.

People like President Donald Trump don't see this as being a two way arrangement. But these people don't know our destiny. We find our destiny by listening to our insights. As we act on our insights we develop a providence that makes it possible for our destiny to find us. A more equal society, more diverse and more inclusive is our destiny.

The US President may be keen to influence tax and spend policies here in Britain through using deals on tariffs . To those who say "We don't know what he's going to do next? The 

we do because he is already doing it. He is dismantling EDI programmes and cutting off federal funding to universities and Government suppliers. He is slashing grants to accessibility projects.

Still don't know what's coming next?

Broadly speaking Trump's agenda is one of disruption. His target is democracy itself. His ideology is the alternative right. For Trump read Vance, for Vance read Curtis Yarvin. For Curtis Yarvin read dark enlightenment. Disabled people have the most to fear from the new elites with no compassion but as the tech giants have just found out disruption will be visited upon his friends too. If we cannot all be winners then there is a risk we will all be losers.

President Trump needs to be given a moral compass and some new experiences. This appears unlikely to happen in the US. In September when it is thought that the US President will be here in our country as a guest of the King; he should be taken to an accessibility project such as the training of disabled astronauts and transport catapult projects coproduced with disabled people.

Our message: "In Britain we don't just deal in the universe but universal truths. King Charles should quote Dr Martin Luther King "the arc of the moral universe is long but it bends towards justice." The UK Government wants to be ahead of the arc. Supporting disabled people to overcome current limits is part our own Government's destiny."
